Deep Roots Street Food

I’m so disappointed to see the route Deep Roots has taken, and sadly referred to old photos of my Hairdresser Salad today while eating the version they offer today. For $15 I received about half the portion of salad, and get this, no protein besides the chickpeas and tablespoon of hummus. The hairdresser salad of the past came as a giant salad, with fries (or potato wedges ages ago) underneath and topped with a heaping portion of gyro meat. I’m so underwhelemd by the portion size and the fact the meal itself has downsized in such a drastic way over the years. The staff was cheerful and friendly, restaurant was clean. Also missed the daily specials and specialty lemonade offerings. Not the Deep Roots I knew and loved.

We have been going to deep roots for a long time now! For the most part, we loooove this food. I always get the hairdresser salad and it's 10/10. There was a rough period during 2021/22 where the quality was hit or miss, maybe change in chefs etc, but it's back to being top notch again. Highly reccomend trying if you're in the area.

We were in the area visiting the Air Museum and googled nearby places for lunch… so glad this place came up on our search! We stopped by for lunch and ice cream. The falafel wrap was amazing.. fresh veggies and falafel tasted great. My husband got the same but with chicken and he loved it. Will definitely be back again for the wraps. Highly recommend if in the area!

This is such a gem of a place! Stopped by for lunch on a Saturday and the place was not crowded. Food was delivered promptly. We had the Turkish Berliner wrap, Chicken Pot Pie soup, Spanakopita, and Pulled Pork Grilled Cheese. Everything was delicious and very reasonably priced. This place is close to Maple View Farms, so if you're headed to their brewery, stop at Deep Roots Street Food and get some food to go!

WHAT is going on!? While there’s been basically a steady monthly increase in your prices, the quality and care that goes into your food has been in free fall for quite some time now. Zero consistency, even with things as basic as the size of a dish. Extra charges just for getting something already included in a dish on the side and then the n top of that missing ingredients? Hardly any clams in the chowder any more. I used to love the chicken bacon Greek salad until I got sick on the chicken and you guys started using some kind of nasty feta cheese replacement. Half full dressing cups and charging almost a dollar for an extra one? No more specials, or maybe they’re just completely sporadic. Tonight I got positively scorched falafel, but I got one extra one that was cooked properly so I guess thanks?…You guys used to be the best game in town but I think I’m done hoping it’ll come back to its former glory. I used to eat here at least once a week but sorry guys, I think this will be my last order 😔
